Minor Injuries

The minor injuries unit is based at St Mark’s Hospital and is open Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 4.30pm (currently closed on Tuesdays until further notice). The service is not available on Bank Holiday’s.

The service provides assessment, diagnosis, advice, and treatment for patients with a minor injury.

Access to the service

You are required to call 03000 770 319 to book an appointment or option 1 when calling the surgery, currently, there is no walk-in service.

What can they treat?

  • Bites, stings and minor allergic reactions
  • Injuries to hands and feet
  • Cuts and bruises, lacerations
  • Dislocated fingers and toes
  • Eye problems
  • Foreign bodies in soft tissue, noses, ears
  • Fractures - arms and legs
  • Minor burns
  • Nosebleeds
  • Soft tissues/sports injuries
  • Strains and sprains
  • Dog bites
  • Minor back pain
