The Patient Focus Group (PFG) has replaced the Patient Participation Group. This allows many more of our patients to interact with us as the primary method of communication is via text/email. There is the opportunity to be involved as much or as little as you wish. We will not bombard you, some topics are not relevant to all patients so we ensure we only contact you with appropriate subjects.

What is a Patient Focus Group?

The Patient Focus Group allows patients to feedback constructive comments and suggestions for improvements to services and communications provided by the practice. Patients participate on a voluntary basis and give up their time to help improve our interactions with our patients

What is the purpose of a PFG?

Patients have the opportunity to influence new services and provide feedback on existing resources
Allows the sharing of information in a timely manner
Patients can participate in their own time and therefore does not impact on their day to day life
Only relevant information is sent as it is targeted to the relevant patient group

What are the benefits for the patient?

Patients are kept up to date with what is happening in their practice
Practice staff are able to learn more about what patients think and feel and gain a greater understanding of their needs
Patients gain a greater understanding of how the practice is managed
Patients are involved and can contribute to their practice

GPs and their staff are able to receive feedback from patients, aiding development and planning for current and future services
The practice can target individual groups to gain input on specific topics
